Rescap\u00e9e du g\u00e9nocide rwandais, l\u2019\u00e9crivaine publie depuis 2006 chez Gallimard. Le Prix Kourouma est d\u00e9cern\u00e9 \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, dans le cadre du Salon africain, depuis huit ans.<\/p>\n

De nombreux prix litt\u00e9raires se distribuent rituellement au Salon du livre. L\u2019un d\u2019eux concerne le Continent noir. Le Salon, qui est une manifestation gigogne, abrite en effet un espace enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019Afrique. S\u2019il a perdu cette ann\u00e9e ses murs jaunes, il conserve sont extraordinaire arbre, fait de mat\u00e9riaux m\u00e9talliques de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration pour le moins color\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s Nimrod, Kossi Efoui, Florent Couao-Zotti et Emmanuel Dongala, c\u2019est Scholastique Mukasonga qui a d\u00e9croch\u00e9 en 2012 le prix Ahmadou Kourouma. D\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire de l\u2019auteur ivoirien, cette r\u00e9compense a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cern\u00e9e pour la neuvi\u00e8me fois. Scholastique a \u00e9crit \u00abNotre-Dame du Nil\u00bb, paru chez Gallimard.<\/p>\n

Les lyc\u00e9ennes encercl\u00e9es<\/em><\/p>\n

Que raconte l\u2019ouvrage? Nous sommes parmi les lyc\u00e9ennes, au Rwanda, dont Scholastique est originaire. Elles se retrouvent encercl\u00e9es par les sbires du pouvoir hutu. Il y a l\u2019incitation \u00e0 la haine ethnique. Les pers\u00e9cutions sournoises. Les filles perdent leurs illusions, tandis que s\u2019approche \u00e0 grand pas le g\u00e9nocide, auquel Scolastique a \u00e9chapp\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Il ne s\u2019agit pas de son premier livre. Donnons une petite liste.
