The Irish Times Review : The Barefoot Woman by Scholastique Mukasonga Rwanda novel genocide Tutsi

You can read a beautiful review by Molara Woods from the Irish Times of my book THE BAREFOOT WOMAN (translated by Jordan Stump).

‘In gentle, loving detail & with many joyful passages, Mukasonga reconstructs [her mother] Stefania’s Rwanda … Stefania and her ilk were Mother Courage figures, keepers of a fire that must never go out. And Mukasonga herself is a keeper of the fire.’

Molara Woods – Irish Times
